VLSI Market separates page views from qualified research activity. Analytics are first-party, optional, pseudonymous, and designed to improve search, source discovery, data exports, and recurring market workflows—not advertising profiles.
NORTH-STAR DEFINITION
Qualified Monthly Active Researcher
Definition
Qualified MAU (QMAU) is one consented, pseudonymous visitor who completes at least one validated source open or official dataset export during the trailing 28 days. Repeated actions by the same browser identity count once. A page view, 15-second read, bare search, discovery-result opening, chart interaction, save, alert, feedback, or share alone never qualifies in this launch schema.
Explicit exclusions
Verified bots, low bot-score requests, crawlers, uptime monitors, automated browser traffic, staff-marked internal traffic, Global Privacy Control, and Do Not Track sessions are excluded before insertion.

DATA MINIMIZATION
What is—and is not—retained
Retained with consent
Event and consent schema versions, event time, query-free path, market workspace, coarse device class, coarse country code supplied by the edge, campaign labels, external referrer hostname, bounded event properties, and double-hashed random visitor and session keys.
Never written to the event ledger
IP addresses, names, email addresses, account identities, raw search queries, full referrer URLs, user-agent strings, third-party advertising IDs, precise locations, and page query strings. On each accepted ingestion, rows received more than 400 days earlier are removed; if no events arrive, cleanup runs on the next accepted ingestion. A double-hashed anonymous session is limited to 300 accepted events per rolling hour.
YOUR CONTROL
Change or withdraw consent
Current setting: analytics disabled
Disabling analytics requests deletion of events linked to this browser's current anonymous key, then removes the local visitor and session identifiers. VLSI Market remains fully functional when analytics are disabled.
